Carlo’s Bees

When he was 8 years old, Carlo Amodeo dreamt that he was a bee. His wings carried a round fuzzy body around warm Sicilian fields, collecting pollen, making honey. For a whole week sleep would melt his mouth into a mandible so he could drink flowers in the island’s sun.
Today, through his honey production, he has seen the success of revitalizing the community of native bees back to healthy and thriving population levels.
